The first signing of the new era at Newcastle United is 31 year old England International Kieran Trippier who has signed from Atletico Madrid on a 2.5 year deal for £12 million. A total steal and I actually cannot quite believe we are already signing a player of high quality, despite still being 19th in the Premier League.
Really hoping that this signing is the first of many and allows us to quickly climb the table. Trippier is not only a fantastic addition to massively improve our defence but his free kick taking is incredible as well. I mean come on it has been a while since we’ve had a specialist in the squad!
He will be wearing the number 15 shirt this season.
